Hello.

My name is Omar Flamini, I was born and live in Italy.

I started DJing way back in 1989, or rather, learning to do so, independently with vinyl. I've always loved music, any genre that could convey emotions and even send shivers down my spine, and that's still true today.

The legendary '90s were just beginning. I'd listen to dance tracks on the radio that drove me crazy, and I'd immediately go buy them, often in Rimini, and I'd spend a lot of money from my apprenticeships, clerkships, etc., or with a few pennies from my parents. We were never a wealthy family. I did anything that made money to buy my first, unsurpassed Technics SL-1210 turntable. FANTASTIC!! But for then, it was just one. At home, I already had a pair of old Sennheiser headphones for listening to music in high quality.

Of course, I loved going to clubs, not just to listen to music and meet girls, but also to avoid being too close to the DJ, so as not to disturb him and "steal his craft with my eyes." I did it even with the most famous DJs.

Little by little, penny after penny, the mixer and the second turntable arrived, the monitor speaker and other vinyl records. I listened to them and studied them until I memorized them—it's still the case today—and then finally, lots of cassettes mixed and recorded by myself for friends and acquaintances.

From then on, after I got pretty good at it and started asking left, right and centre in the local clubs if they needed a DJ, I toured the world on cruise ships.

After making business cards and delivering my home DJ sets, the first calls came in to the Artistic Directors of the clubs asking for Friday night work.

The world I'd always dreamed of opened up to me. The work increased, and I started working on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons too. I earned very little, but I also spent double that on records, to keep myself up to date, and on bags, which were incredibly heavy to carry.

I'm currently also a producer.

My musical genres are: house music, tech house, and deep house.
