Simo Shruthi, born Simona Sottini, is a multi-faceted artist whose work lives at the crossroads of sound healing, ecstatic dance, and holistic wellness. A yogini, sound healer, and international DJ, she creates immersive sonic experiences that dissolve boundaries between ancient traditions and modern electronic music.
Rooted in spiritual yoga, sound meditation, chakra therapy, and the ancestral resonance of Tibetan singing bowls, her music bridges ambient soundscapes, house, chill house, deep house, and afro house. Her sets move effortlessly between dance floors and sacred spaces, offering transformative journeys that awaken both body and spirit.
Simo's signature DJ sets are tuned to 432 Hz—a frequency believed to resonate with the natural harmony of the universe. She often enhances these sets with live Tibetan singing bowls, crafting deep, multi-sensory experiences that invite introspection, release, and joy.

Background & Musical Journey

Simo’s musical career began at 21, when she set off on a journey that led her to live and work between Miami, London, and New York. In London, she launched her career as a DJ, specializing in ambient, chill-out, and lounge music. There, she co-founded a recording studio with composer Simone Giuliani, producing ambient works that laid the groundwork for her future explorations in sound healing.
Her time in New York deepened her connection with R&B, Hip Hop, and House, expanding her musical vocabulary and versatility behind the decks. In 2002, she returned to Italy, launching the hip hop radio program "HipHop City" on Radio Azzurra 100.5 FM.
Since 2014, Simo has been a vibrant presence in Milan’s music and wellness scenes. She has performed at high-profile events and lounges, while continuing her training in holistic healing. In 2018, she earned her diploma in Nada Yoga (Sound Yoga), and has since developed a unique practice that unites music therapy, sacred sound, and electronic rhythms.
