SWELL’s DJing style is deeply personal and shaped by his Mediterranean origins. A passionate surfer, his artistic name evokes the ocean: the swell of the sea, the rhythm of the waves, and the intensity of sound waves, all of which resonate through his music.

Born and raised in Barcelona, SWELL is an eclectic DJ based in the city that shaped him. His passion for vinyl and the world of DJing began more than thirty years ago. As a young boy, started at home playing his father's disco and funk records.

He later immersed himself in the local nightlife, frequenting iconic venues such as Nitsa Club, Le Rachdingue and Florida 135, as well as the main clubs in Eivissa during the summers. He also developed a strong interest in attending internationally renowned festivals like Sónar, always eager to stay on top of the latest trends in electronic music.

From the very beginning, SWELL was deeply influenced by the french touch house music and the Chicago sound. However, he defines himself as an eclectic DJ with a vast musical knowledge that spans decades. His roots lie in 1970s disco and funky tunes, evolving through the early days of electronic music with Giorgio Moroder, the New Wave and Electropop of the 1980s, house music and its many subgenres from the late 1990s, and the techno and electro scenes of the early 2000s and beyond.
